This is a great website. Like many others I have learned a great deal from the questions and answers of others appearing here. I am looking to purchase a compact utility tractor in the 30hp range. I will use it primarily for general landscaping chores. I want 4WD, Hydro Tran., loader and boxscraper. I have looked at JD, NH, and Kubota and like them in the order listed. But they all seem to be overpriced. I have seen the Rhino tractors advertised on the Internet would like to get some feedback from anyone who owns or has used one. How do they compare with the "name brand" tractors? I live in Arizona and to my knowledge, there is no dealer selling Rhino tractors here, so I would have to purchase out of state. But if the savings were sizable and the equipment reputation is good, I might include them on my list. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

If you can afford a new tractor, buy one of the 3 brands you listed. Personal preferences aside, you won't get hurt by any of them. If you can't afford a new version of one of these brands, look around for a used unit that fits your needs, in one of those 3 flavors. RUN AWAY from Rhino tractors AT ANY PRICE. They are junk, parts support is woeful, and if you want to get rid of one, you need to dig a hole, because no one will look at one on trade. ....

I believe USA Rhino distributor went out of business around the first of the year. Since they are imported from China, I'm sure the People's Republic will pick up another distributer for them.Lee ....
